About Domino's Pizza
Domino’s Pizza has established itself as one of the world’s most recognized and leading pizza brands, with a rich history spanning over six decades of innovation and growth. The Laguna Beach location at 1100 S Coast Highway Unit 205 represents the brand’s commitment to bringing quality pizza and diverse dining options to coastal California communities. This particular franchise operates as a delivery and carryout establishment, serving the vibrant Laguna Beach area with convenient access to an extensive menu of pizzas, chicken wings, and complementary sides that cater to diverse customer preferences and dining occasions.[1][3]
The story of Domino’s began in 1960 when brothers Tom and James Monaghan took over the operation of DomiNick’s, a small pizza restaurant in Ypsilanti, Michigan, near Eastern Michigan University.[1] What started as a modest single-location operation with just a $500 down payment and $900 in borrowed funds has evolved into a global powerhouse with operations spanning more than 90 international markets.[5] The Laguna Beach Domino’s location continues this legacy of entrepreneurial spirit and customer-focused service that has defined the brand since its inception. Within eight months of taking over the original store, Jim Monaghan traded his half of the business to Tom in exchange for their delivery vehicle, a Volkswagen Beetle, allowing Tom to pursue his vision for expansion.[1] By 1965, Tom Monaghan had grown the operation to three locations and officially renamed the business to Domino’s Pizza, Inc., inspired by an employee suggestion that captured the brand’s dynamic energy.[1]
Throughout its evolution, Domino’s has consistently demonstrated a willingness to innovate and adapt to changing market demands. The company introduced its first new product, Handmade Pan Pizza, in 1989, the same year the 5,000th Domino’s store opened worldwide.[3] In 1992, breadsticks became the chain’s first national non-pizza menu item, followed by Buffalo Wings in 1994, expanding the menu offerings that customers can enjoy today.[3] The Laguna Beach location reflects this commitment to menu diversity, offering not only traditional pizzas but also chicken wings and various sides that appeal to different tastes and preferences. A pivotal moment in the company’s history occurred in 2009 when Domino’s made the bold decision to completely overhaul its 49-year-old pizza recipe, launching what the company called its “new and inspired pizza.”[3] This unprecedented move demonstrated the brand’s confidence in its product and willingness to acknowledge customer feedback and market realities.
The Laguna Beach Domino’s at 1100 S Coast Highway Unit 205 operates with modern convenience at its core. Customers can place orders through multiple channels including online ordering, the Domino’s mobile app, or by calling (949) 376-0333 directly.[2] The location offers both delivery and carryout options, accommodating different customer preferences and schedules. The franchise participates in Domino’s Rewards program, allowing customers to earn points on every order of $5 or more and redeem them for free pizza, bread, drinks, and exclusive deals.[2] This loyalty program reflects the brand’s focus on building lasting customer relationships and providing value beyond the initial transaction.
Today’s Domino’s represents a transformation from a single Michigan pizzeria to a sophisticated, technology-enabled pizza delivery chain that continues to set industry standards. The Laguna Beach location embodies this modern approach while maintaining the core values of quality, convenience, and customer satisfaction that have driven Domino’s success for over 60 years. Whether customers seek a quick weeknight dinner, party catering, or a convenient meal option, the Laguna Beach Domino’s provides accessible, reliable service to the local community.

I'm not from the area so I call the store cuz I can't find the spot, the guy was so rude, I ask him if they were still in same location and he just Said :"we are in second floor" with a actitude and hang up. Once there Every request I ask (normal questions that I always ask) was a no. The App Wasn't working right in my phone so I ask For the recive but he trow it away. The Pizza looks bad I bet he put less amount of toppings there. The worst time at 1 dominós I hope I can put -1 Star.

Pizza was good as always, can’t go wrong with dominos. Our driver Igor was the best. I left a good tip on the order, but tried to give him a bigger tip after order was completed. Unfortunately there is no way to do that, so instead I’m leaving a review. Give that man a raise!

I did an order online for a pizza and wings. I came in just in time. Pizza and wings should be ready but they only did the wings. Employee told me that it will take a little longer and did not even apologize. Bad service. Also employees are not wearing gloves nor mask in this place. One employee even wipes his snot with his arm while grabbing toppings to put on the pizza. 🤢 i made sure that they wore gloves when they started making my pizza.

This local pizza spot is truly the best in Laguna Beach. I wish they would open up more stores like this one. Maybe they could even expand to a national or international level! I wish everyone could share in the heavenly flavor.
